Child Privacy Policy

Safeguards, parental responsibilities and an explanation children can understand.

Updated 5 October 2026Skillvelop Ventures Private Limited

01 Parent-managed participation

Students in Grades 1 to 10 may participate through an adult parent or guardian’s account. Grade is not proof of age. A parent must have lawful authority for each child and should supervise registration, explain the activity and consider the child’s wishes and capacity.

The current interface records a parental declaration and consent timestamp. It does not independently verify a parent’s identity or automatically verify the child’s age. If your circumstances require a verified consent process, contact us before submitting the child’s information. A checkbox alone must not be treated as satisfying every jurisdiction’s verification requirements.

02 What children should know

For students: Your parent helps you use this assessment. We save your answers and use them to describe maths ideas you understand and ideas you could practise. Your parent and the Skillvelop team can see your learning information. A computer service may help write suggestions. You can ask your parent to explain the report, ask for a correction or contact us.

You do not need to share your address, school contact details, photos, medical information or secrets. This activity is not a diagnosis. You can tell your parent if you want to stop, need help or feel uncomfortable.

03 Information and restrictions

The platform uses the child’s name, grade, curriculum, profile selections, answers, timing, reflections and report. We do not request a child’s own email address or telephone number for a family profile. Parent contact details are used for communications.

There is no public child-profile directory or child-to-child messaging in the assessment platform. Reports are accessible through the authorised account and administrator processes, including completion email attachments. We do not sell these records or use children’s assessment evidence for targeted advertising. Tutors receive only context relevant to the requested service.

04 Applicable child-protection requirements

Age thresholds and parental-consent obligations depend on applicable law. Indian child-data provisions, when applicable and in force, require particular protections for persons under 18. The US COPPA framework may require verifiable parental consent for covered collection concerning children under 13. EU consent rules for an online service offered directly to a child vary by Member State; relevant thresholds range from 13 to 16. A platform’s parent-facing design does not by itself establish an exemption.

We must not commence processing that requires an additional consent safeguard until that safeguard is satisfied. Schools and other adults must not assume they can consent for a family without legally valid authority. This policy is not a certification of COPPA, GDPR or Indian statutory compliance.

05 Parental and child rights

Contact hello@skillvelop.com to review information, correct a profile, request deletion or withdraw permission for further assessment processing. We may need proportionate evidence of authority and will consider the child’s own rights and best interests. We do not promise deletion of lawful retention records or copies already shared outside our control.

If you believe a child registered without authority, write to grievance@skillvelop.com with the account email and enough information to identify the concern. Do not send identity documents or further child records until a secure method is agreed.
